Review on Plant Physiology and Crop Modeling for the Response of Rice Crop to Climate Change

Climate change impacts the sustainability of agriculture. Physiological processes are very essential for improving crop modeling. The objective this paper was to assess integrated effects modeling and physiology on response rice climate change. Some models have weakness rectified by better understanding physiological features which is correlated growth development plant. Process-based dynamic able estimate a range environment biophysical future scenarios yield. Crop modelling has potential enable society efficacy G × E technologies mitigate adapt production systems An advanced integration will gene-to-farm design resilient sustainable under changing at regional-to-global scales. High night temperature increases carbon loss from respiration reduces activity source–sink enzymes resulting in lower biomass, poor grain filling, reduced weight rice.
